June 2007 6/7/07: From Capitol Hill GOV APPROVES CERVICAL CANCER SHOT COVERAGE On May 29, Gov. Bill Ritter signed HB 1301 requiring insurance companies to cover the cost of a vaccine for cervical cancer. The bill also directs the health department to create an education campaign about the human papilloma virus, which causes about 70% of cervical cancer cases.
