2008 Raising the Bar Conference

The 2008 Raising the Bar conference brought together 255 people, including policy and youth development advocates, public health and social service professionals, clinicians, family planning workers, and health educators.

Very interactive, informative, and enjoyable.  Thanks! - 2008 conference participant

This presenter was wonderful!  I loved the piece on “welcoming the child” and understanding how families feel about teen pregnancy, thinking about how many people live in the shadows and their experience.  -Comment from Our Success Depends on Their Success: Creating Effective Partnership with Young People, Parents and Communities with Hector Sanchez-Flores

During the course of the two-day conference, participants enjoyed presentations by Douglas Kirby, Hector Sanchez-Flores, and many other local and national experts in adolescent reproductive health.

Innovative and leading research – great to hear from the man behind it! Comment from Behavioral Messages for Youth to Prevent Pregnancy and STDS: What Should They Be?  with Douglas Kirby

Stimulated excellent thinking and interaction. - 2008 conference participant
